www.akademi.co.uk - Akademi (South Asian Dance in the UK) - Akademi (formerly known as academy of Indian dance) is a pioneering organisation that works to encourage excellence in the practice of South Asian dance in Britain. It works to bring people in contact with the creativity of South Asian dance as a part of mainstream dance in Britain.

www.artscouncil.org.uk - Arts Council dance department. Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from Government and the National Lottery.

www.artscouncil-ni.org - The Arts Council of Northern Ireland supports and promotes the Arts in Northern Ireland.

www.artswales.org - The Arts Council for Wales (ACW) is responsible for funding and developing the arts in Wales. The Welsh Assembly Government provides ACW with money to fund the arts in Wales and, as an Assembly Sponsored Public Body (ASPB), the ACW is responsible to the Welsh Assembly Government for the way this money is spent. ACW is also the distributor of Lottery money for the arts in Wales.

www.admt.org.uk - Association of Dance Movement Therapy. Its aims are to further communication amongst dance movement therapists, students & practioners.

www.benesh.org - The Benesh Institute is the international centre for Benesh Movement Notation. Benesh Movement is a concise, accurate and versatile system for recording all forms of human movement.

www.british-dance-council.org - British Dance Council is the governing body for all matters pertaining to all forms of ballroom dancing throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

www.cdet.org.uk - The Council for Dance Education and Training (CDET) promotes excellence in dance education and training. It accredits courses at vocational dance schools, advocates on behalf of the private dance training and teaching communities and provides a comprehensive information service about dance education and training. CDET offers advice and support to students, parents, teachers and artists.

www.danceuk.org - Dance UK works with and on behalf of dance. It provide information, publications, networks, forums for debate and conferences, and speaks out for dance.

www.thedcd.org.uk - Dancers' Career Development offers educational advice, career coaching, emotional counselling, CV & Interview guidance and school workshops for dancers and grants for retraining and business start-up grants for eligible professional dancers.

www.equity.org.uk - Equity is the only Trade Union to represent artists from across the entire spectrum of arts and entertainment. Its membership includes actors, singers and dancers through to circus artists, television/radio presenters, stunt performers and directors. The main function of Equity is to negotiate minimum terms and conditions of employment throughout the entire world of entertainment and to try to ensure these take account of both social and economic changes.

www.communitydance.org.uk - The Foundation for Community Dance is the national development agency for community dance in the UK. It works for the development of community dance, and for greater access to high quality community dance for all.

www.scottisharts.org.uk - The Scottish Arts Council is one of the main channels for Government funding for the arts in Scotland. It also distributes National Lottery funds received from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and funds a range of arts organisations for annual programmes of work. In addition, it makes project and lottery grants to individual artists and arts organisations.

www.thestage.co.uk - The UK weekly theatre, broadcasting and light entertainment newspaper's website. As well as the latest news and reviews, it contains information on auditions and job opportunities.

www.surrey.ac.uk/Dance/General/Laban.html - The Labanotation Institute is located at the University of Surrey in Guildford and is the European centre for the promotion and development of Labanotation and Laban Movement Analysis.
