UKP-Arts Guide to Performing Arts 2011
 |
|
With its increasing popularity at
GCSE and A-level fuelled by the recent media explosion of talent-showcased
television, young peoples' appetite for the performing arts is seemingly
insatiable.
However, many potential performers are unaware of the levels of
dedication and application required to succeed in the profession
- and many exciting opportunities on offer outside the spotlight! |
Now in its 7th year, the UKP-Arts
Guide to Performing Arts provides unbiased and essential information
regarding UK performing arts training and career options including:
 practical overviews on acting, dance, musical theatre, music, management
and technical theatre;
 advice from recognised industry professionals on auditions, agents,
funding, training and careers;
 case studies of performing arts students and professionals;
 advertisements from a wide range of UK course and career providers;
 contact details of over 300 UK performing arts training providers;
 a free further information request service.
Distribution
15,000 copies of the Guide are printed annually. Approximately
6,000 are delivered free of charge to performing arts specialists
in UK secondary schools and sixth-form colleges. Additional
distribution includes 'Connexions' and F/HE careers offices
throughout the UK and online requests for individual purchased
copies which currently exceeds 2,500 annually.
