How did you get started in the industry?
I gained extensive experience in amateur theatricals during Elementary and High School, at the American Institute of Monterrey and Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey followed by a year of studies at the Facultad de Artes Escénicas de la Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. At eighteeen I was head of Producciones Nevararez and in-charge of production of the Mexican premieres of Agatha Christie's Alibi and Colin Higgins' Harold & Maude. As well as fulfilling my duties as producer, I played Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot in the former show and suicidal Harold Chasen in the latter.
Where did you do your training?
After three years of acting and producing in Monterrey, Mexico, I travelled to Russia in order to further my studies as an Actor. There I was accepted at All-Russia State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). Whilst there I also studied a postgraduate course in Acting Pedagogy. More recently I studied a postgraduate course at Harvard University, taught by the Moscow Art Theatre School Studio's Rector - Anatoly Smeliansky.
